CLEAR WATERS is my version of a Flamenco 'Tangos de Malaga'.
Tangos de Malaga is a Flamenco song form originating from Malaga, Spain that can sound close to a Farruca, with the differences in the cante melodies that I outline here on guitar. It was fun to compose (originally for a dance choreography) and challenging to play! I use my alternail technique at the end to reach speeds I could not with traditional picado technique.
It is a challenging guitar piece, so take your time and play it slowly. For the techniques you need, see this playlist I made: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6rSIWnFgXk&list=PLZoV7gLOjtDUpwdKtCHR3zT-ePqCJlrok
Hint: when learning this piece, first learn and memorize the notes with the sheet music/tabs provided, then watch the video in youtube and click on the gear icon in the bottom right corner of the player - got to speed - adjust to .5 and play along at half-speed. The pitch doesn't change, it only slows it down. Then you will be on your way.
Thank you for taking the time to look at this. I'll keep them coming! -Ben Woods http://www.spanishguitarplayer.com
